Mod's Hair was founded in Paris over 50 years ago and since then, it has evolved into a style empire with salons all around the world including one in New Zealand in the Christchurch suburb of Merivale.
Mod's Hair is more than just a hair salon – it’s a beautiful space specifically dedicated to making customers feel at home while looking after their hair and wellbeing needs. The team are big believers in helping people embrace the hair they were born with – why not make the most of those curls and waves rather than slaving away trying to hide them?
All of their stylists are trained in Paris, learning techniques that truly appreciate different natural textures and tones in hair. Techniques like balayage have been part of the Mod's routine for over 20 years and have helped them become a much loved and trusted salon for men and women all over the world.
And whats more, they even have their very own Perrier Jouët Champagne bar to kick back in whilst you're waiting for your hair colour to set. Enjoy a nail and hand massage, champagne, cocktails (espresso martinis!) and a snack menu (featuring a single serve caviar) if you so desire.
Despite having a love of fashion and keeping up with trends, the Christchurch team are always loyal to their bespoke techniques, always doing what feels right for you and your hair.
