Tucked next door to the Sudima Christchurch city hotel on Salisbury Street, The Lane is so much more than a hotel restaurant. This is an eatery that celebrates Canterbury cuisine and offers its guests a relaxed yet elevated bistro experience.

The Lane has created a menu filled with curated classics with a twist. An all-day affair, The Lane opens its doors at 6am every morning, ready to bring on the caffeine; lunchtime sees a grab-and-go menu catering for busy business people on the run; and dinner is a sit-down affair, where you’ll be well looked after by the professionals behind the eatery.

Catering for all dietary requirements, the menu changes along with the seasons, bar a few much-loved staples holding their own from time to time.

The beverage side is a true celebration of all things Aotearoa. The wine list showcases wines across the country/motu, with a number of North Canterbury drops included.  A selection of international and local beer is present; and if you fancy something a bit more, well, fancy, you’ll be glad to know that The Lane takes creating delicious and stunning cocktails very seriously.

Whether you’re looking for an exciting Canterbury dining experience or a quick quality bite on the go, point your nose this way. Located just a stone's throw away from Hagley Park and welcoming well behaved dogs, The Lane could also be nicely tied in as an after walk treat for yourself and your four legged friend.
