Movementor is a well-known Pilates studio situated within the Beckenham hub at the corner of Christchurch’s Colombo and Tennyson Streets. Climb the stairs to the first-floor studio, leave the bustle of the city behind, and be greeted with a quiet, peaceful environment. As an established teacher training studio, every teacher either holds an international certificate or is working towards their qualification, so you can rest assured you’ll be in good hands.

The Pilates method was developed in the 1920s by Joseph Pilates initially in order to rehabilitate injured soldiers. To this day, pilates is a great restorative form of movement that can aid in prevention and recovery from injuries as well as build overall strength and mindfulness. At Movementor, you can expect to receive knowledgeable, individually tailored instruction. A mix of private and group classes is available in both mat and full equipment classes, not just reformers. Learn functional movement that can be incorporated into everyday life for a more comfortable, active lifestyle.

Movementor offers a uniquely friendly, community-centred atmosphere where each person is treated as an individual. Instructors here work out what each new client really needs and what works for them. A big focus is on individualised training, and new clients will go through at least a few one-on-one sessions before joining a mat class or equipment circuit group.

If pilates is something you’ve been told would be good for you, the experienced instructors at Movementor can show you how. For bookings, head over to the studio’s web page.
