TOAD Hall Café in Motueka is one of those places you enter once by chance, and never pass up again. Unassuming from the road, this expansive café has got you covered, whatever your craving may be. After a quick coffee and a bit to eat on the run? Tick. Looking for a spot for a large group booking, which will cater for various dietary requirements and fit everyone comfortably? Tick. Dreaming of a relaxing lunch in a garden setting while the kids explore and play? Tick.

TOAD Hall began as a small family run café and fresh produce market; these days it boasts multiple indoor and outdoor areas plus an extensive menu. Open for breakfast and lunch, coffee and cake, on-site brewed beer by Townshend brewery, burgers, delicious cold-pressed juices and fresh fruit ice cream, the options are endless.

An organic market garden behind the café supplies the kitchen with a lot of the vegetables and greenery needed for creating various dishes, with a complete farm to plate experience a goal for the future. An on-site bakery churns out TOAD Hall’s own bread and the famous juicer runs everyday to produce nutritious drinks for the cafe and store. During the summer months, you might get lucky and catch some live music performed by local and visiting musicians.
