Father Rabbit has burrowed in deep across Auckland and has dug an entrance in Herne Bay. The stark white interior, along with a majority of products which are also white, and the fact that the store is in a position that reaps the sun, creates a very fresh and inviting atmosphere.

There’s an underlying sense of quality and timelessness to the carefully curated picks of household products available at Father Rabbit. Whether there’s a discounted promotion on offer or simply the camaraderie amongst people who enjoy an organised home, FR easily breaks down the woes of modern life and reminds us all of that crisp sheeted, wooden old farmhouse antiquey cooking utensils and crock.

The assortment of light bulbs on display throughout the store are a fascinating sight too. They also have this cool thing called an emergency candle which comes sealed in a waterproof tin with matches. Awesome for someone prone to power outages.

FR provides online shopping and delivery options as well. In the words of Father Rabbit himself, this place has an “appreciation of simplicity” – demonstrated via its durable and reliable household products built for that special area where town and country meet.
