Easy-going and always welcoming, Industry Lane Eatery is a bright and bustling cafe that offers a comfy seat for all. Located a little away from Alexandra’s main drag, this spot is fast becoming a popular destination for every hungry local and visitor.

Step inside and enjoy an instant dopamine boost. From the kaleidoscope of chairs to match a brightly coloured mishmash of coffee cups, to the luscious assortment of plants and bold yellow walls, you can’t help but mirror the smiling team inviting you through the door.

Industry Lane prides itself on creating a fresh, flavour-packed and beautifully presented cabinet that the kitchen crew generously stock each morning – and is nothing but a few crumbs by the end of the day. Inside you’ll find all the classics executed with flair, from breakfast muffins and extra cheesy croissants to pulled pork bagels and soulful salads. The savoury goods are balanced perfectly by an array of sweet and indulgent baked treats. You’ve got Kiwi classics like lamingtons and slabs of delicious slices, as well as light and fluffy donuts jazzed up with lemon meringue, caramel custard, raspberry cheesecake and other joyful toppings.

Believe it or not, there’s more to be enjoyed beyond the cabinet. If you’re in for brunch, Industry Lane has something for every morning craving, whether you like to stick to the tried-and-true eggs benedict, can’t pass up waffles with a seasonal fruit compote, or need a classic big breakfast to fuel your day of cycling. There’s even a fun breakfast platter available for the wee foodies at the table. Top everything off with a great coffee – or perhaps a mimosa, craft beer or glass of wine if the day calls for something stronger.

Alexandra should be pretty stoked that Industry Lane owners Hayley and Jen swapped out their days in the shearing sheds for the hospitality life. Here’s hoping it remains a lively gathering place to sip coffee and scoff donuts for many years to come.
