Variety is the spice of life, and you’ll certainly find something to spice up your wardrobe at Stencil, a growing streetwear store housed in both The Colombo and Re:START. Self-described purveyor of fine apparel, footwear and design classics, Stencil stock contemporary womenswear and menswear pieces from cutting edge and cool local brands like Federation, Commoners, Alike, Huffer, Five Each, On & On, AS Colour as well as Standard Issue which produce “artisan clothing” with a strong focus on knitwear. On a more international level, expect to find stock from the Swedish denim company Nudie and Sydney-based Vanishing Elephant, which has heavy vintage influences.
If footwear is what you’re after, look no further. Stencil’s stores regularly receive new shipments of the latest collections, making it your go-to store for just released Nike and Adidas lines that often sell out. It’s also a great place to find other wardrobe essentials, stocking brands such as Moscot eyewear (worn by the likes of Johnny Depp, Woody Allen and Truman Capote), and Status Anxiety clutches and handbags.
