Split into three galleries (each named after prominent people or organisations in the Waikato arts scene) ArtsPost has plenty on show all through the year, and with exhibitions changing regularly, it means there’s plenty of new talent on display each time you visit. The wonderfully restored heritage building houses the works of some of Waikato and New Zealand’s best up-and-coming artists and ensures an encouraging community for those new to the scene.
With the gallery shop also under the same roof, visitors can purchase the best in New Zealand art and design. A colourful range of ceramics, prints, paintings and jewellery can be found both here and on their online shop. There’s a proud sense of Kiwiana in-store, magnified by the fact that all the pieces are of high quality and have been made by Kiwis themselves.
Frequently collaborating with different local arts organisations means ArtsPost stays well and truly up to date with movements and changes in the making community. Visit ArtsPost for an inside scoop into Hamilton’s creative scene.
