Housed in a Category 2 heritage-listed building on Victoria Street, Artspost is one of Hamilton’s most unique creative spaces. Its five art galleries showcase works by New Zealand artists from around the country, and with exhibitions changing regularly, there’s something new to see every time you visit.
The retail space is dedicated to New Zealand artists too, making it the place to find bespoke, original artworks – from paintings and prints to ceramics and jewellery – to take home.
Artspost is also home to a thriving art school, running more than 30 classes a week for budding artists aged anywhere from 5 to 95. And with the art society behind it dating back to 1934 – making it the second-oldest art society in Aotearoa – Artspost has long been at the heart of Hamilton’s creative scene.
