It’s hard to find a more picturesque spot for brunch than Alberta’s at Māpua Wharf. The cafe is located directly across the water with views of Rabbit Island across the inlet. To top it all off, Alberta’s is serious about serving great food and quality coffee — brewed with Rabbit Island Coffee co. beans, of course!

The busy kitchen pumps out plate after plate of beautifully presented café classics, such as Eggs Benedict and Avocado Smash. The cabinet is filled with in-house-baked goods, popular filled donuts, and raw slices. Another big focus that keeps people flocking to Alberta’s is the extensive smoothie bar menu with a number of energy reviving smoothies, shakes and, in true Tasman style, real fruit ice creams.

Hugely supported by Māpua locals, you’ll see people catching up on the latest news around town across tables at Alberta’s on any given morning. And if you’re a dog lover, you’re in luck as there are always a handful of friendly pooches hanging about while their owners get their caffeine hit.

If you’d like to take a piece of the experience here home with you, head inside and find a selection of house-made chutneys, granola, and even flavoured salt up for sale, plus a number of other local Nelson Tasman products.
