Vintage Industries in New Plymouth is a beacon - twofold in fact - for its salvaged antiques from across the globe and golden exterior. What began as innate love of vintage nautical artefacts for owners, Steve and Tracey, now has them sourcing salvaged marine items and European curios for their headquarters in New Plymouth.
Inside the converted industrial building, anyone with a penchant for history, design or home interiors will be thrilled to uncover an eclectic array of lighting from Europe, old marine hardware (that’s been lovingly restored), a selection of Turkish rugs, taxidermy, vintage clocks and heaps of other gems. The selection at Vintage Industries is crafted with a broad appeal and we’d say it’s highly likely something will pique your interest (and will need to come home with you immediately). With regular shipments arriving from yonder shores, the vintage available is constantly changing.
The space is vast yet astutely compartmentalised into different sections; including a café area, aptly filled with antique tables and chairs, where you can grab a coffee and a little sweet treat while you absorb the stylish mise en scène. Staff are on hand to offer their expertise, especially around the techinalities of lighting fixtures and fittings and offer extra guidance and information.
So if you’re looking for a vintage piece to adorn your home, garden or office head to Vintage Industries for something wholly unique.
