The Burnt Place is quickly coming home away from home for Hāwera locals with its cosy neighbourhood vibes. Revered for its great food and delicious cocktails we all know how great it is to have quality hospitality right on your doorstep.
Designed to be a place for people to come together, have a bite, and a little fun, this relaxed ethos has garnered the attention of those living in and visiting Taranaki. Open from 9am until late on the weekends, The Burnt Place is ideal whether you want a breakfast of waffles with berry compote or a late-night woo woo (a schnapps cocktail for those unsure)! The dishes dance around the globe and with an emphasis on sharing, so there are sure to be plenty of options to keep each Tom, Dick and Harry happy, and we haven’t even mentioned the dessert menu yet! We’re suckers for a sticky toffee pudding, and there’s hits the jackpot. Gloriously fluffy, sticky and sweet in equal measure with a dollop of creamy vanilla ice cream.
The interior is smart, and stylish, with old-fashioned black and white prints adorning the walls above the rust-coloured bench seating. A splash of colour comes in the form of an emerald green cornice and ceiling and their eclectic glass lighting above the bar keeps things interesting.
As the smells of culinary delights permeate the restaurant, we can’t help thinking The Burnt Place is “so hot right now” and we’re hot under the collar just thinking about the next visit.
