You may only be a few minutes from the city, but Ziffs has a knack for making you feel a world away.

The covered outdoor space invites you to sit back and relax, taking in the luscious trees and greenery surrounding the property. You’ll find families here with little ones happily occupying themselves on the spacious porch, as well as young couples enjoying a leisurely lunch over a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. This spot doesn’t just shine in the warm weather, though. The cosy indoor fireplace, wrap around bar and contemporary interior will have you in no rush to leave.

You won’t have to sacrifice quantity for quality here. The concept for the restaurant was designed to satisfy even “the hungriest customer”, resulting in generous portions of classic, flavourful meals prepared by professional chefs and featuring local ingredients where possible, like Southland-grown elk. The Crispy Chicken Salad is the most popular menu item, and for good reason. Featuring crispy panko chicken strips, belly bacon, brie, avocado, cashews & tomato on salad greens with aioli, it delights all the senses.

The beverage menu has a wide-ranging selection of wines and brews, starting at just 9 bucks a glass, as well as a handful of classic cocktails like a refreshing Mojito or an Espresso Martini. They even have some bubbly on offer, if you’re looking for a way to celebrate! To enjoy your bevvies without worry, consider booking their Courtesy Vans, which pick-up for free in Invercargill and are available at all times, offering a 7 and a 13-seater. What more could you ask for?
