If your Wānaka time has been spent not eating enough healthy food, then a visit to Dripping Bowl should set you straight.

Well known for its açaí bowls, buddha bowls, smoothies, gluten-free baking and niche coffee menu, this wholefoods eatery has nutrition and sustainability at its heart. The food van is neighbours with Freshlink Grocer on Anderson Road and the menu is carefully thought out for nourishment, quality and abundance, at street food prices. Co-owners Evelyn and Jesse have made it their mission to make takeaway food healthy and so the menu is also one hundred percent wholefoods, primarily organic and supports local growers.

Been drinking alternate mylks with your coffee? You may want to check out the ingredients on the packet. But not at Dripping Bowl, they're unyielding when it comes to using only whole foods. The alternate mylks on offer here are organic almond, soy and coconut, with no added oils. They also stock Otis Oak Mylk and Farm Fresh Dairy, delivered in reusable glass bottles.

Popular for their year-round grass-fed bone broth, in the winter time Dripping Bowl also brings out their famous quality soups served with local sourdough. Check out the fridge for a selection of cold-pressed juices, made fresh on-site and sold in reusable glass bottles.

Looking to be as waste-free as possible, Dripping Bowl smoothies come with either paper or metal straws, dine-in acai bowls are served in coconut shells, and the takeaway option is home-compostable.
