Wellington Chocolate Factory will take your senses on an adventure from the moment you enter their Eva Street Factory or step into their brand-new Chaffers Street store.

Wellington Chocolate Factory (WCF) has been lovingly handcrafting New Zealand’s finest small-batch chocolate since 2013 – producing the highest-quality, organic and ethically sourced bean-to-bar chocolate.

At WCF’s Eva Street Factory, you can immerse yourself in a world of cocoa - indulge in a delicious hot chocolate, watch (and smell) the making process in action or take one of the famous chocolate-making tour experiences. The tours – where you become a chocolate maker – let your inner Willy Wonka out while you learn how to make chocolate and take home your very own unique bar loaded with delicious toppings.

It's all about the bean at WCF. The beans that go into their delicious and award-winning chocolate come from Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Vanuatu. It recently launched its brand-new Grower Partner initiative with Vanuatu cocoa farmers, part of its goal to strengthen relationships with Pacific Island growers and support the flourishing Pacific industry. The Grower Partner cause also ensures farmers are paid well above market price, so they and their communities can thrive.

Each cocoa bean has distinctive flavour characteristics, depending on the region they are farmed. Once roasted, the beans are transformed in front of your eyes in WCF’s stone grinders, before the chocolate is poured and chilled. The bars are then hand wrapped in beautiful, eye-catching artwork designed by local artists.

Wellington Chocolate Factory is an incredible treat for the senses, a must-do when you’re visiting Wellington, and when you take home your very own bar, you too are helping create a better-tasting world - one bean at a time.
