Kepa Road Café is the younger, cooler sibling to Remuera’s popular Browns Eatery and Store. Probably due to its proximity to the beach, the blue and white themed café is welcoming and airy with plenty of natural light, instantly invoking a relaxed, comfortable feel to all those who visit.

Indoors, the cabinet is crammed with yummy cakes, slices, quiches and tarts. It definitely invites further consideration, unless you want to go ahead and order multiple items - which isn’t a bad thing! It would be remiss to not also check out the kitchen menu, which offers up plenty of fresh takes on much loved classics, such as eggs benedict, omelette and good ol’ mince on toast.

One of the beautiful things about visiting Kepa Road Café is that it is always easy to get a car park, and seating is plentiful - whether that be on the pavement, inside or in the sun-soaked courtyard out back. Furry friends are welcome outdoors, making this place a perfect pitstop pre- or post- beach walk.
