For many people the idea of a morning or afternoon spent at the hairdressers is not an appealing prospect. There’s small talk to be made, that big ominous mirror to stare at and not much else to do other than flick aimlessly through trashy magazines. Dry & Tea has changed all of that and managed to make the experience of going to the hairdresser not only appealing, but something you’ll quite happily arrange to do.
At Dry & Tea every hair or beauty appointment comes with a complimentary cup of delicious tea. And it is not just boring old Bell that you might be offered at any old suburban hairdresser. Here the tea menu is both interesting and extensive. You’ll be sure to find a flavour you’ve never tried before to sip on.
In addition to the usual cut, colour and blow wave services, Dry & Tea offers a number of services that might seem so simple, yet surprisingly few hairdressers offer them as part of their hairdressing ‘menu’. Pop in to have your hair pulled into a pony, braid or bun in a matter of minutes. You can have your hair curled or straightened, or backcombed before you put it up. There’s even a package to get you looking glamorous for your Friday night party. This is a social hairdresser where coming in a group is encouraged. That goes a long way to making sure that that notorious hairdressing small talk is avoided…Dry & Tea has proved so popular in Auckland there now are three stores: at the City Works Depot, Britomart and in Newmarket.
