Nothing goes better with a cold brew than a hot slice.  A collaboration between the person behind Alligator Pizza and Space Academy, this latest concept serving up neo-neapolitan pizzas with quality ingredients on hand-thrown, sourdough bases.

Whether you enjoy your pie from the indoor picnic-style tables or head to the patio for dinner under the glow of fairy lights, the vibe at Pizza Trap is casual, industrial, and welcoming. Almost every single pizza on the menu can be made vegan, making it easy to bring the whole gang (dietary restrictions, be damned) along for dinner, drinks, and a show.

In addition to the classics, they have plenty of inventive menu options, like the Beach Pigs, which features house roasted pineapple salsa as the main sauce in place of classic marinara, topped with Prosciutto, mozzarella, basil, and Pecorino. For a sweet treat, try out the dessert pizza, Professor Plum, with a creamy custard, black doris plum, and ricotta, all on a slowly fermented sourdough base. The ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, so many of the pizzas offer a taste of the most beloved Christchurch producers like Grater Goods, who provide vegan meats, and Cured, where they source their salami.

In the drinks department, you'll find a revolving selection on tap, with favourites from local breweries with a few choice selections from around the country. They'll have you sorted in the wine department, too, thanks to delicious picks from the Waipara Valley, and further afield. All in all, the perfect place to hunker down for a relaxed evening with your mates.
