Founded in 1999, Embassy can be easily described as a skate lovers haven. The local store, specialising in streetwear and stocking all things skate-related, has been supplying the Christchurch skate crowd with a multitude of international and New Zealand based brands for years. Embassy is more than just a clothing store though. Skateboards, graffiti paint, artwork, books and much more are housed in their store on bustling Colombo Street.
If you’re new to the skating industry, their friendly staff are on hand for advice on anything from the type of skateboard to use, right down to the wheels that’ll suit you best. Or if a new set of threads is what you’re really after, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Peruse the likes of Adidas, Vans, Element, and Lower’s latest lines all stocked in store, or choose from more than 50 other international and New Zealand brands.
