If you’ve ever wished shopping preloved fashion felt a little more boutique and a lot less rummage, To Be Continued might just be your dream come true. Founded in 2017 by Amanda Stirling and Martin Exon, the idea was simple: to give great clothes a second life in a stylish, welcoming setting, and that’s exactly what they’ve done.

Now with three thoughtfully curated consignment stores across Christchurch, To Be Continued has grown from its first store to now include a Ferrymead store (hello, menswear!), a Normans Road space dedicated to designer womenswear and most recently in Merivale on Papanui Road.

While almost everything inside is secondhand, you wouldn’t know it from just looking. Each piece is carefully selected for its quality and condition, think new and like-new pieces from names like Gucci, Ganni, AJE, and Zara, and other coveted brands rarely seen on New Zealand racks. From statement dresses and tailored suits to polished boots, swish sneakers and everyday essentials, there’s something here for every style and occasion.

And the aesthetic? Fresh, contemporary, and full of personality. The stores are neat and thoughtfully styled with playful pops of colour, making them a joy to browse. Best of all, the service is warm, honest and personal; Amanda, Martin and their friendly team offer genuine one-on-one support with styling, ensuring everyone feels right at home.

Whether you're ready to start a new chapter in your wardrobe or part ways with preloved treasures, To Be Continued is helping ensure fewer fashion stories are left unfinished.
