Adding a loud burst of colour to The Crossing in Christchurch, Twiggi is guaranteed to leave you and your hair feeling revitalised.

Opened in May 2023, Twiggi veers away from the minimal Scandy aesthetic of most contemporary salons, instead drawing on the bold colours and creativity of the 60s to shape their fun, mid-century modern space. The colour-blocked walls combine zesty tangerine orange and lime green, creating a bright canvas for the statement furniture and jungle of plants to live their best lives in.

Aeisha and Gerry are the dream team behind Twiggi, and have created a salon environment that is relaxing, inclusive and inspiring. With over a decade of hairdressing experience, you’ll find Aeisha on the floor with her talented crew of stylists, while Gerry keeps everything ticking along backstage. Each client is treated like an old friend, warmly invited to sit down, sip a barista coffee or lovely T2 cuppa, and talk through their personal hair goals. Not one to put themselves in a box, Twiggi is open to exploring a smorgasbord of looks – making it their mission to help Ōtautahi locals find their own unique expression of style.

The family of stylists are all extremely well-rounded, while still repping their own signature specialty, be it bold and bright or beautifully natural colours, dreamy blow waves and up-dos, speedy foiling, or immaculate cutting. Whether you’re in for ‘the usual’, something new and wonderful, or a delicious treatment tailored to your locks, the Twiggi team will wave their magic wand (or rather scissors) every single time.

As well as committing themselves to making your hair look 11/10, Twiggi works hard to be a sustainable salon, finding ways to reduce their environmental footprint and partner with like-minded hair care brands. If you’re new to the community, you’ll also receive a little piece of Twiggi’s garden to take home: a plant cutting beautifully presented in a jar.
