Somewhere style meets tradition is at Busters Tattoo and Barbershop, located in the heart of Tauranga’s CBD. With an attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, Busters’ specialises in traditional barbering techniques infused with contemporary flair, along with the skill and talent for tattoo artistry.

Busters is made up of a group of like minded creatives that enjoy making each client look and feel better. They offer top notch grooming experiences in an inclusive and comfortable environment, in a space that is intended to be both fun and welcoming. From shaves and fades to beard trimming and even cut throat shaves, clients will leave feeling confident, refreshed and like a whole new person.

The shop itself oozes character, with its pink and blue walls, chequered flooring and huge vintage mirrors. There’s plenty to take in, with the walls and ceiling decorated with tattoo flash (pre-prepared tattoos), merch and an iconic tattoo spinning wheel. The punk rock music only adds to the vibe, and of course, there’s Buster.

As the namesake, it should come as no surprise that Buster is the boss. An 11 year old Chug (chihuahua x pug) who’s been in and around the industry for his entire life, it seemed about time he opened his own shop. Established in 2022, the team is made up of four permanent staff, as well as guest tattoo artists regularly rotating through the studio, all of whom report to Buster himself.

Bookings are highly recommended, but there’s sometimes space for walk ins.
