Housed in a beautifully restored 1920’s building amongst the pedestrianised Wharf Street Precinct, The Hop House in Tauranga has become an obvious destination for anyone after a fun time. Whether it’s people watching, basking in the sun or simply catching up with friends, The Hop House’s convenient location certainly provides the perfect place to do so.

In case its name wasn’t clue enough, there is a definite passion for craft beer at The Hop House. There are 12 taps offering a rotation of local, national and international beers and cider, as well as a fridge of full cans, bottles and the best range of sours in town. In addition, there is an assortment of boutique wine and high-end spirits, such as gins, whiskies, and rums and a deliberately chosen range of exciting non-alcoholic beverages.

Food has also proven popular at The Hop House. The mantra is simple: affordable food done well, and that they do. From delicious pizzas to award winning burgers, the menu offers a select variety of satisfying and tasty options. The Sunday Roasts are legendary about town; reservations are required, as they sell out every week!

As a point of difference, The Hop House offers a semi private function area which can be booked for events and meetings. There are also weekly quiz nights, monthly comedy shows, regular beer and wine tastings and even the odd music gig to keep locals busy. And for those just after some board games or an open fire, don’t worry they have that too.
