Having spent many years doing the market, festival and event rounds with their OG food truck, On A Roll have clocked up a devout following of local foodies from all around Hamilton. So, we weren't the only ones who were pretty wrapped when the doors to their permanent Vialou Street spot opened in 2021.

The eatery itself is the embodiment of good vibes. You’ll notice industrial cement blocks contrasted with bold feature walls and a larger-than-life tiger mural. Accented with warm wood tones, leather seating and bohemian lighting, they've simply nailed the aesthetic.

Known for their flavour-packed take on Asian-fusion bites, On A Roll is a serious crowd-pleaser when it comes to dining out with the crew. Our advice? Sharing is caring, so order one of everything because we guarantee you’ll want to taste it allllll.

Starters will leave you salivating with a line-up of old favourites perfect to pair with a cold brew. We’re talking fluffy bao buns stuffed with sticky hoisin pork, slaw and fried shallots—drool. Go all-in on pork with fried spring rolls and dumplings, both served with finger-licking dipping sauce. Of course, don’t miss the sriracha sticky wings decked out in crushed peanuts. In fact, just go ahead and order two bowls of wings—you won’t regret it.

And those are just the small plates. Larger bites like the legendary bánh mì, roti hawker roll and rice noodle salad are the heavy hitters. If you’re feeling fancy, level it up with an order of their roasted crab legs doused in chilli, garlic butter and lemon. Don’t slow down just yet—satisfy your sweet tooth with dessert bao or chocolate and hazelnut wontons.

Whether you’re eating in for a special outing, picking up a meal box to-go or making a splash with their epic catering kit, one thing is for sure; you’ll be rolling home after this meal.
