Fashion-forward fellas are spoilt for choice at modern Hamilton clothing store Crate. The only one of its kind in town, this bright curated store is a gentleman’s space through and through. Beer crates are used as shelving, and an old arcade machine tucks in amongst the clothes, while the place itself is staffed by laid-back dudes happy to help you pick out your next piece.
Hamilton local and store owner Blair, has more than ten years experience in the street wear industry and started his own version after seeing the continued demand for sleek, sophisticated clothes for men. Another store in Auckland, a wholesale supplier to other national shops and a popular online store means it’s always easy to get your hands on a new piece of Crate clothing. Keep your eyes peeled for collaborations with other designers and artists too (like recent one with Ghica Popa from Romania.) A coffee machine tucked in near the front entrance means the loyal local following often comes for more than just fashion, and Manuka Brothers coffee beans and merchandise often head out the door as frequently as a new tee.
Directed towards the modern corporate, Crate has a selection of top quality and slightly edgy street wear ready to be dressed up or down for those who are serious about feel and fit.
