Hapuku Lodge
Nestled amongst a working deer farm between the Pacific coast and the Kaikōura ranges, Hapuku Lodge is your destination for luxurious accommodation and one of the finest dining experiences in the region.
The lodge is most famous for its Tree House rooms, which sit 15 meters above ground amongst native trees showcasing unobstructed views of the mountaintops and the ocean. These rooms are a private sanctuary unlike any you’ve stayed in before. Watch native birds flutter on the treetops right outside the window as you gaze at Kaikōura’s beautiful scenery.
If you’re not good with heights, fear not, as there are also four stunning Lodge rooms available, or for couples traveling together, the Olive house with two king sized rooms and a shared lounge might just do the trick.
On top of staying in one of the stunning rooms, guests at Hapuku Lodge can enjoy a communal lounge with two open fires, a heated swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, and walking tracks around the farm all the way down to the waters edge, plus a world-class restaurant on site.
You don’t have to be a guest at the lodge to get a taste of some of the incredible dishes created at Hapuku Lodge’s onsite restaurant. Their cuisine celebrates a local farm to table experience, with a menu that changes according to the season. Much of the green produce used in the kitchen comes directly from the lodge’s own extensive vegetable garden; meat and seafood is sourced as close to home as possible. The wine list is composed of local New Zealand wines and the friendly staff will help you choose the perfect pairing to compliment your meal.
