If you know Peoples Coffee in Wellington, you’ll know the business is much more than just a café and roastery. With fingers in plenty of pies when it comes to supporting community groups and enterprises, it shouldn’t be surprising that the Lukes Lane spot shares the exact same ethos of inclusivity.

The space feels clean, bright and welcoming with an emphasis on connecting with customers. Full wheelchair access is available, while the steps out the front will make a sought-after spot come late summer afternoons when Peoples plans to throw down some cushions and deal out the cold brew. If a hot brew is more what you're after, the team at Lukes Lane have a rotating offering of their single origins on their new soft brew and V60 station.

Cabinet food comes from local talent Dough Bakery, French Cancan, Shelly Bay and others, with a wide range of vegan options to suit all requirements. Peoples offer a range of artisan toasties full of cheesy and pickle goodness, or pick up something sweet made by the creators Chunk'd, She Universe & French CanCan. Coffee can be trusted to be impeccable here. Choose from the Don Wilfredo or Seasonal available on espresso or Single Origin filters, as well as a full range of retail beans.

A dog-friendly café (and cat-friendly if you count the feline that has made the Constable Street site home), Peoples is more than happy to host your pup on one condition - that the staff are allowed to pet it too.
