Pad Thai and fries? Bao bun and a cocktail? Whether you’re out for a flat dinner or looking for a place to hide behind your dark sunglasses on a Sunday lunch, Kiss Kiss has all the Thai treats you need. Bright colours, neon lights and plastic wrapped tables, droves of Mt Eden residents are wandering down Dominion Road for a slice of South-East Asian sunshine. It’s busy, fun and lively, with a delicious menu of creative noodle, rice and shared dishes.

Another stroke of genius from the team behind L’oeuf and Chinoiserie, Kiss Kiss offers Thai cuisine with a generous dose of kitchiness that will bring a smile to your face – think palm trees, red plastic trays and bamboo umbrellas. They don’t take bookings and there can often be a wait, but when sitting at the bar sampling their range of delicious cocktails, you won’t even notice. Kiss Kiss serve classics such as Larb, Phad Si Ew and bao buns, as well as french fries with sriracha mayo, donuts and pandan custard, and fresh vermicelli salads. Complement your meal with thai iced coffee, Kiss Kiss Kombucha, or try a locally crafted beer from Brothers Brewery.
