FOUND started as all good ideas do: over wine with friends.
Shopping ethically is a hot topic. There's a growing swell amongst fashionistas towards brands that focus on transparent sustainable and ethical values. The result is not only great for our wardrobes but also for the way it benefits the earth and those who make our clothes. Whether you're looking for second-hand clothes or made-in-New Zealand designer pieces, FOUND has you covered.
In fact, Ann-Marie and Liz are your new fashion saviours, curating a clever mix of second-hand homewares and vintage clothing as well as supporting Kiwi and Australian brands along the way. They share a passionate focus on showcasing new creators and brands with their customers and shaking up the stigma attached to second-hand goods by introducing a way of shopping that mixes old with new.
Located inside the Made precinct which is becoming quite the place to go in Hamilton, FOUND is certainly part of that equation. Set out like a gallery to showcase each individual piece on the floor, you could be convinced that it's an upscale designer shop if you didn’t know any better. (Spoiler alert: that was the goal.)
Keeping fashion circular is key, so these stylish women take every opportunity to source local clothing and goods that they know their customers will love. Crowd faves include ‘The Nana Knit,’ a piece which is lovingly handknitted by a real-life NZ granny. The Keith Grinter hand-blown glass tumblers always fly off the shelves in record time, thanks to the added sophistication they bring to your drinkware collection.
For you, your home, and the planet, FOUND wraps up individuality, sustainability, and style in a pretty bow for you to explore at leisure.
