Liardet Street Projects

38 Liardet Street, New Plymouth
A cohort of cool hospitality vendors come together to create Liardet Street Projects in New Plymouth; an open air foodhall that boasts a variety of authentic street food and cheap eats.
Tucked away behind an unassuming street frontage is a courtyard packed full of different cuisines for you to sample, an ideal place for when your mates can’t agree on what to have for dins. You can choose between Burgers, Vietnamese, Spanish and Californian style pizza which all happily congregate here.
Gamma Ray’s has garnered a reputation for producing out-of-this-world patties with equally bodacious buns packed to the brim with sauce, salad and pickles (so good you’ll be wishing for one the next time your belly crumbles!). Viet Nom Nom pride themselves on fast, authentic and delicious dishes that could be straight from the back lanes of Hanoi. Chiwi Catering have Spanish inspired plates sewn up with tapas, paella and churros on rotation, and you can grab hot slices of pizza pie from Kickflip or try a Hawaiian poke bowl with hints of Japanese flavours. And to wash it all down, there’s Rinsed Coffee and Cans serving a handy mix of beers, juices or coffee, depending on what time of day you visit.
Conveniently decked out with a bunch of unpretentious outdoor tables designed to be shared with whoever is floating around, the place has a relaxed cosmopolitan feel, humming with people grabbing a tasty bite to eat. Tune in to their socials for info on live DJ sets and affable drink specials.
