Ozone Coffee Roasters is a resounding global success story, but its origins will forever be in the coastal town of New Plymouth. For the past 20 years, Ozone coffee has been a mainstay of the Taranaki hospitality landscape with its inimitable specialty coffee.

Tucked slightly away on King Street, Ozone Coffee Roasters is a bustling semi-industrial hub ready to deliver you the goods. Whatever your caffeinated beverage of choice, they will make it with precision and skill, but it’s not all about the coffee, oh no. Food is a core component of Ozone too. With a sustainable and minimal waste approach to their culinary offering, Ozone has a simple yet tasty breakfast menu that focuses predominately on toast (or crumpets) with a plethora of different topping options. A sleek cabinet is on standby with sandwiches and treats for those wanting a grab and go snack with their takeaway flattie.

Beyond the sustenance, Ozone Coffee Roasters has a distinct and discerning style. The warehouse interior is a masterclass with forest green hues on textured concrete walls, enclaves that have been cleverly created using roller doors, and contrasting terracotta tiles and green astroturf underfoot. A spattering of greenery, curios and industrial lighting, together with a large communal table, round out the whole experience.

Passionate about the planet, Ozone’s commitment to the environment begins with its sourcing, and filters through its production processes, directly into the day-to-day running of the café in New Plymouth, right where it all began many moons ago.
