Victoria Lounge and Eatery in the heart of Ōamaru is a welcome addition to the burgeoning hospitality scene in this small town brimming with charm and character. Nestled amongst the grand Victorian building of a bygone era, this unique venue is cosy, and welcoming and, above all serves up some of the best food and drinks in the area.

The rich Hunter green walls and luxe velvet seating throughout the space immediately set the warm tone of the lounge. There are nods all around to the past and a sense of nostalgia from the delicate chandelier lighting to the portraits of former royals to the antique china proudly on display. The interior sets a stylish and elegant environment with a distinct feeling of glamour and luxury.

Whether you live in town and frequent often or are a visitor passing through for the first time, Victoria Lounge aims to cater to your eating and drinking preferences. They also happen to be the home of Ōamaru’s only coffee roastery, Victoria Beverage Co. so you can rest assured that anything with coffee in it is well worth ordering.

Speaking of drinks, they have a great selection of craft beers and international wines that pair well with their delicious sharing platters. But it is their specially crafted cocktails that this lounge bar is best known for. With an extensive list, you might struggle to pick your favourite - after all, there are at least four different types of espresso martinis, all made with in-house roasted coffee beans if you please! Perhaps the most visually stunning of the lot is quite appropriately the namesake Queen Victoria cocktail, which is berry-flavoured heaven in a glass, topped off with fairy floss.

Be transported to another time and place at Victoria Lounge and Eatery, enjoy a cocktail or two with friends, share some great food and most importantly, relax and make merry!
