Amayjen is one of the crown jewels of Feilding’s hospitality scene. Owned and operated by Andrew and Jenni May, this local restaurant earned a Cuisine Good Food Awards ‘hat’ in 2017 and continues to dish up inspired local flavours today.

Open for brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert, Amayjen does it all - even takeaways. The dining room offers a dimly lit, yet inviting atmosphere, complete with booth and bar seating. Two function spaces make Amayjen an excellent place for a larger celebration or gathering, too.

Pop in in the earlier hours for coffee and a light breakfast, or visit at lunchtime for dishes like Amayjen’s scotch fillet which comes served with home cut agria chips, seasonal vegetables, homemade onion rings and your choice of garlic herb or blue cheese butter. Amayjen’s gourmet burgers are another delicious option.

Amayjen offers similarly delicious dinner plates. Start with the baked brie, kitchen charcuterie selection or homemade garlic bread and move on to exciting entrees like the beef cheek tortellini, before wrapping with mains to the tune of twice cooked pork belly or any of the beef and lamb dishes for which Amayjen is so well known.  They’ve won excellence in the Beef and Lamb Awards for the last five years running.

The Angus Pure 200g eye fillet, for example, comes with black garlic mat, baby carrots, truffle agria mash, spinach and shallots and red wine jus. If you simply can’t decide, go for the Trust the Chef option. Sit back and relax while Chef Andrew and his team send out the best representation of the current menu to your table.

Desserts at Amayjen are also not to be overlooked, each one exciting and inventive in its own right. The chocolate and cardamom taco, a consistent favourite, features chocolate cardamom namelaka, date and orange ice cream and Italian meringue. The precise plating and delicate flavours are the perfect counter to the rich main courses.

Whether you’re here for breakfast or dinner, a celebration or a date, you’ll be treated to some of the best food and service around. Amayjen also won the People’s Choice Award in 2019 for service.
