For a dining experience that feels like a royal affair, look no further than The Regent Room centrally located in the heart of Rotorua. This chic spot is open every day, serving up delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, along with tempting tapas, sophisticated cocktails and high teas for those special occasions, no matter how big or small.

The Regent Room is a visual delight that transforms with the seasons. When evening falls, the tables dressed in crisp white linens elegantly overlook the outdoor swimming pool and charming courtyard. Come summer, this same courtyard evolves into an idyllic al fresco dining spot. And through the winter months, cosy up by the fire, surrounded by the playful charm of studded rhino heads adding a whimsical touch.

A highlight of the menu is the seasonal degustation menu available every night, complete with optional wine pairings from the boutique cellar. There’s also a plant-based menu and for those wanting to simply pick their own main, there are a la carte options too. It’s hard to go past the idea of exquisite scallops served on pork belly scratchings or a perfectly cooked beef fillet, all while sipping on a matched wine. For breakfast, popular dishes include the fluffy buttermilk pancakes or the eggs benedict, both classics done particularly well.

The master behind the magic is executive chef Alan Haslem. Hailing from Ireland, it was love at first sight for Haslem when he laid eyes on Rotorua’s stunning lakefront. Captivated by the beauty around him, he decided to make Rotorua his home. This heartfelt connection to the local landscape and culture is evident in every dish he creates, as he turns fresh, local ingredients into culinary works of art.

With its elegant atmosphere and fantastic offerings, The Regent Room is the perfect place to celebrate any occasion, with a memorable dining experience ensured every time.
