Known for its high country stations with hardworking, hardy farmers, Central Otago is also home to some beautiful fashion and Perriam, a brand designed by long-time local Christina Perriam, is the perfect combination of both.

The huge motto on the back wall declares Perriam as not just a brand or a place, but also a stillness and a slowing down. A few moments in this peaceful store and you’ll see the value in slow fashion (although, don’t blame us if you walk out with more beautiful things than you planned on buying).

Primarily a womenswear brand, they also create clothing for the small people in your life as well as blankets, sheepskin rugs, and even slippers. If you’re a knitter yourself, you’ll be pleased to hear that Perriam stocks wool and knitting patterns too, so you can click your needles together from the comfort of your own home. Chloe Zara hair and Ayu body care products, bags, jewellery, books, shoes, and woollen children's toys make this an easy choice for a shop to pick up any last-minute gifts.

Proud of their heritage and where they come from, Perriam is more than happy to share its story, and when everything is displayed as beautifully as it is here, it’s impossible not to appreciate all the hard work that goes into growing merino wool.
