This store is the closest to the Commonsense family’s own organic farm, Te Horo-based Common Property, and the shop’s staff enjoy a close relationship with the local growers. That means there’s a genuine link between what’s happening in the paddock and what lands on the shelves, and some of the Kāpiti Coast’s most loved producers - think Apostle, Te Horo Harvest, Apple Quarters, and Waikawa Glen - get a special spotlight.

But the real drawcard might be the food coming out of the Commonsense Kitchen. The homemade organic soup attracts people from across the region, while the salads, samosas, and empanadas have developed their own loyal following - all made with organic ingredients sourced from the store.
