Famous for its rich, Italian style hot chocolate thick enough to eat with a spoon; Scopa is a well-known spot for Wellington locals and visitors alike. Situated in the heart of Cuba Street, and hailed as the original pizzeria, whether you’re in need of comfort food or a spot to impress your date, here you can satisfy your cravings and crushes alike.

Scopa is a Bresolin brothers’ local eatery, serving hand pushed pizza that has a softly lit, intimate atmosphere that’s also fun and lively. It offers both large tables for groups and smaller ones for those in need of a good catch up.  Staying true to their italian roots, Scopa Pizzeria is grounded in classic italian style pizza but is certainly not defined by it.

Scopa caters to a diverse range of patrons. Priding itself on its friendly, efficient and energetic service; this is the perfect place to bring the family, to catch up with friends, cosy up to a partner, or to people watch and soak in the hustle and bustle of the most diverse street in Wellington.

If there is a short wait for a table, they encourage you to settle down at the bar and watch in marvel as the pizzas fly. As they say themselves "we’re a place for the people and the people want pizza." Can't argue with that.
