Since 1989 WORLD has been privately owned and loved. Founded in Auckland by Dame Denise L’Estrange-Corbet and Francis Hooper MNZM, WORLD has been shown and sold globally and has grown to 5 stores nationwide - Britomart & Ponsonby in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and an online store.
WORLD continues to create New Zealand hand-made fashion collections and haute-couture garments. The store includes exclusive collections of the finest high-end niche perfume and candle houses alongside a curated cacophony of selected objet d’art. Brands such as Cire Trudon, Creed, Amouage are collected alongside artworks by New Zealand artist Reuben Paterson, vintage taxidermy and Qeeboo design objects.
Striving to find new approaches to fashion, World is the home of innovative styles and trends which are bound to strike a chord with you as each season’s latest gear hits the hangers. The store offers a welcome dash of chic to the Britomart precinct.
