From Monday to Friday, Tauranga’s Elizabeth Cafe keeps up with the fast-paced city-slickers, cranking out coffees to the local corporate crowd. Come weekends, the pace of the cafe seamlessly slows right down, as locals indulge in leisurely brunches over good company and even better food. Situated at the base of the city’s ANZ building, the aroma of freshly ground kōkako coffee beans will draw you right in.
Inside, the cabinet features gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, and a collection of their best-baked sweets. Don’t sleep on the cheese scones; they have accumulated a devoted following and sell out on the regular. Another standout dish is Elizabeth’s signature Bacon Benny: perfectly poached eggs served with crispy bacon, and velvety hollandaise sauce atop their house-made rosti. Of course, there are plenty of sweet, savoury and vegetarian options to satisfy all appetites.
Elizabeth Cafe aspires to be the go-to destination for the city’s corporate crew, to be replaced by locals on the weekends. Somewhere where the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the hum of vibrant conversations creates an inviting ambiance, in a space where people can connect, recharge and thrive. There’s ample seating both inside and out, plenty of space for everyone.
It's not just about the food and coffee at Elizabeth Cafe: it's about the full experience. High quality food and drink is considered part of the package, and there’s an ongoing commitment to delivering quality service. Regardless of whether you’re simply grabbing a coffee to go or settling in for a leisurely meal, Elizabeth Cafe knows how to deliver.
