There's nothing gimmicky about Albar, the most subtly Scottish pub this side of the equator; a local favourite and the social hub of many. However, "being Scottish" at Albar is as natural as drinking whisky—a double of the 'Malt of the Month' is always available for $14 and bottles of 'Albar's Original Salted Caramel Whisky' are available for purchase over the bar.

With Albar being the hub of Emerson's, their beer is also the favourite on tap, and Emerson's Brewery will always launch a new or limited edition beer from Albar first. The extensive tapas menu at Albar is delicious and extremely affordable. Choose from the likes of hummus, meatballs and mussel pots alongside your more traditional Scottish favourites such as haggis and oatcakes.

Every Tuesday from 8pm a local Celtic band gathers around one of the cosy wooden tables and plays merry tunes for the evening, so come on down for a pint and a wee jig!
