Catalyst is dedicated to promoting mindful eating and conscious consumption. Even the name speaks to this mission. A 'Catalyst' is someone or something that precipitates a larger event, and we believe that this restaurant is doing quite a lot to encourage small changes that can have a ripple effect when it comes to caring for our planet.

Embracing this vision, Catalyst meticulously curates its menu with wholesome ingredients sourced from local suppliers, such as Bay Road peanut butter, OCHO chocolate and Otis Oat Milk. These carefully selected components form the foundation for a range of tasty menu items that strike the perfect balance between sustainability and mouth-watering flavours.

To explore Catalyst's enticing offerings, simply utilise their innovative virtual menu. By conveniently scanning the barcode on your table with your smartphone, you can peruse the diverse options without the need for paper menus, contributing to their eco-friendly approach.

In addition to its daytime operations, Catalyst now extends its culinary experience to dinner, introducing a menu designed for shared enjoyment reminiscent of cherished potluck dinners, with an array of delightful dishes that encourage communal dining and fosters a sense of togetherness.

Furthermore, their newly introduced bar menu proudly showcases that 99% of the ingredients used are sourced from reputable New Zealand producers. Focussing on Bio-Dynamics and Certified BioGro Organics reinforces Catalyst’s commitment to supporting local agriculture and minimising their carbon footprint.
