There’s a focus on reputable brands that have stood the test of time, so expect to be reunited with all the classics as well as some new leading names. Blitz is also one of the few local spots catering to men’s wardrobes, making it especially popular with the lads about town.

Owner Euan Nelson took over the reins in 2009, returning home to Gisborne after spending almost a decade in London. He’s stayed true to the shop’s coastal roots, while introducing a thriving e-commerce site that connects with surf and skate communities all over Aotearoa. One of the coolest things about the website, though? The free HD livestream, giving anyone access to the current conditions at the southern end of Wainui Beach. It’s their small way of saying thanks to those who’ve supported the local business since way back.
