Womenswear, vintage wear, plus sizes, shoes, scarves and menswear, there’s a section for every sort of thrift buyer, and it’s hard not to leave till you’ve scoured the whole store (you never know where that hidden gem might turn up.) The staff are enviously cool and serve as walking, talking inspiration for fashion that’s a little bit quirky and a little bit edgy.
Proof that looking fashionable needn’t break the bank, the pre-loved clothing here is always very reasonably priced, and with a mission statement for ‘sustainable clothing culture’, the much-loved store is paving the way to conscious consuming. You can rest easy too, knowing only the best quality items are chosen for the racks. Lucky shoppers will see themselves walk out with anything from an unheard of vintage label to some of the NZ highflyers; Trelise Cooper, Huffer and I Love Ugly.
Ample changing rooms allow plenty of space to try on pre-purchase, and the cheerful, expert eyes of non-pushy staff can make choosing a lot easier. Keep an eye out for the three discounted colours of the week to score an absolute bargain, items with tags of those colours will be 25 or 50% off - and ask for more info on selling your own clothing there.
