In the heart of Hastings, neighbourhood pasta bar Sazio is driven by the philosophy of “Eat with the people you love. Eat well. Eat often. Eat pasta.” Simply translated, the Italian word 'sazio' means satisfied, and this is the goal here, to deliver on flavour so you leave feeling full of the best food memories.

Creating these memories starts as soon as you walk through the front door. Immediately enveloped in an inviting space, warmth emanates all around, from rich caramel, tan and forest-green tones throughout the interior, to the large dried floral display above the bar, to the music in the background. What will also capture your attention is the large open kitchen, allowing you to see the chefs at work, in their element and creating delicious dishes.

The food at Sazio will keep you coming back time and time again. They truly are the masters of pasta. But first, begin your meal with a starter. There are several to choose from, the most ordered being the sourdough focaccia with olive oil, which is pretty hard to say no to. Then, on to the main event… the pasta! Traditional dishes such as pork sausage ragu, gnocchi and ravioli all feature, and you cannot go wrong with whatever you pick. Dessert, of course, is a must to round out the meal. If you find yourself with decision paralysis, never fear, Sazio has a ‘Feed Me’ menu option that encompasses their current favourites for the whole table to share.

You will feel at home at Sazio, and once you have sampled their food, you might never want to leave.
