Hold your horses beer lovers, Parrotdog has done it again. True to their ethos, this fantastic bar makes everyone feel comfortable thanks to their easy-going fit out, casual smiley staff and epic mix of food meets craft beer. Taking inspiration from the taverns and small town pubs of yesteryear, Parrotdog is bringing back retro. The jukebox, taxidermy, and brilliantly loud wallpaper are early signs you’re somewhere that doesn’t mind a bit of history, and the crew even report people bringing in their own dusty antiques which have gone on to grace the walls in some way, shape or form. Monthly art exhibitions feature in the space too and the Parrotdog team are happy to host the openings where art meets beer in the best way possible.

Small humans are welcome here, as are your furry canine friends. From the tradies playing pool, to the families tucked up in booths and the youngies checking out the art on display, there’s no denying this bar feels like a place for everyone.

And if you were thinking you’d have to leave on an empty stomach, think again. Parrotdog have made sure any visitor here can walk out the door feeling satisfied thanks to their epic sandwich, salad and platter menu. Try the classic reuben (or the veggie version) with a generous side of fries for a perfect end of working week meal, or if it’s still midweek and you’re needing a pick-me-up, then the Workhorse Combo that includes the sammie with a tinnie of Parrotdog lager on Wednesdays and Thursdays for just $20 is your best bet.

Fifteen taps pouring the good stuff straight from the brewery visible through the main windows means you’re never short on options, and with the core range always available (flanked by the fluctuating pilot brews) you’re spoilt for choice whether you’re a ‘stick with the favourites’ kind of person, or out to try something new.
