Nestled in the seaside village of Eastbourne and online, Goldie is a beautiful home and lifestyle corner store (and paradise) for design lovers. With a focus on quality products designed to make daily life a little better through good design, Goldie offers a thoughtfully curated range of design-led products for the home, lifestyle and little ones.

At Goldie, there is a seamless blend of design labels from New Zealand and further afield. Brands like Audo Copenhagen, Frank Green, Assembly Label and Baggu are right at home alongside New Zealand favourites such as Città, Nature Baby, Sophie and Ashley & Co. There are also beautiful brands that many shoppers discover for the first time at Goldie including the likes of Abel, Isle of Eden and Author Ceramics.

Founder (and owner) Fran Drager particularly loves supporting fellow female-owned businesses and those that make beautiful, quality objects while considering people and the planet. She has a vision of bringing all her favourite quality brands to Eastbourne and Lower Hutt, a vision that is slowly but surely coming to life.

Prior to opening Goldie, Fran had worked in marketing, advertising and graphic design for over a decade. Having always dreamed of opening a store like Goldie, she’d assumed it was something that would never actually happen, or something that might happen 'one day'. In 2021 an opportunity came up to share a space and with the support of her husband Mark, Fran quit her job in advertising and started working on turning Goldie into a reality.

Every product tells its own tale, and at Goldie you can learn the stories of each of these exquisite brands, experiencing their quality firsthand. Expect a warm, personal and relaxing shopping experience with helpful and friendly staff, each individual sharing Fran’s good taste and passion for design.

At Goldie, the belief is that these are the golden days—after visiting the store, you’ll find it hard to disagree.
