A far cry from the chain stores that reside nearby, Angel Divine has been keeping the people of Queenstown well-dressed in timeless pieces for almost three decades. In 2023, the designer boutique relocated its Queenstown flagship to Beach Street, a new level of visibility that has sparked increased attention from visitors and locals alike. As it should.

Inside, the beautifully laid-out space offers a calming contrast to everyday retail experiences. A delicious array of clothing, accessories, jewellery, perfume and homeware are thoughtfully displayed across the racks and shelves. Glide your hand over a range of delectable materials that have been crafted with quality and longevity in mind – from impossibly silky dresses from Caitlin Crisp and the softest Aleger cashmere jumpers to light linen sets from Posse.

Premium New Zealand designers make up the majority of the brands here, so expect to run into your local favourites such as Twenty Seven Names, Deadly Ponies, Marle and Yu Mei, as well as renowned labels from further afield. Most notably, Angel Divine is the only store in New Zealand and Australia that stocks Holland Cooper. This British heritage brand creates lasting investment pieces using New Zealand and Australian wool (a luxurious country style that complements the rugged mountain backdrop so beautifully).

With a second store in Arrowtown, and the recent expansion into Australia with a store in the Southern Highlands of NSW, owner Deirdre Ussher and her team continue to build a thoughtful fashion destination that is both elevated and welcoming. Whether you’re looking for something special for a friend’s upcoming wedding or a forever wool coat, there’s a fitting room with your name on it at Angel Divine.
