Hidden up one of Wellington CBD's many side streets is Little Beer Quarter. With 12 craft beers on tap and over 100 bottled beers from New Zealand and around the globe, this sunshine-yellow inner-city pub truly is a gem. Monday through Sunday the place is packed, with after-work business banter and holidaymakers and everyone in between.
Adding to its eclectic mix of beverages, LBQ has a cosy private room available to hire for groups of up to 30. The food is tops, with a mix of pub-style and gastro delights on offer. The home-style pizzas and chicken salad come highly recommended and usually require a doggy bag. LBQ runs meal-deal specials almost every day of the week; from a $15 lunch to a $30 Sunday roast (which includes house-made Yorkshire pudding!) with a hand-pulled pint, you're in for a real treat.
