Nestled in a creative corner of Wellington and surrounded by like-minded boutique neighbours, Iris Store + Studio is much more than a one-stop shop for all your beauty needs.

Owner Hannah Wiles says the fit out of the store is an extension of her personality - a “warm, welcoming space with a hint of playfulness”. Sleek, polished wooden surfaces and shelves frame the interior, accentuated by just the right amount of greenery splashed throughout. A mezzanine floor - decked out in a warm terracotta palette that adds to the homeliness of the space - instantly draws your eyes upwards. This is the ‘studio’ part of Iris, with a selection of beauty cabins where you can pamper yourself with facials, lash and brow services, and makeup lessons and applications.

As for the products on offer, Iris goes out of its way to treat Wellingtonians to some of the most elusive beauty brands in New Zealand. The carefully curated selection of internationally renowned skincare, makeup, fragrance, and haircare brands boasts names including Sana Jardin, Lanshin and Kjaer Weis. And with a commitment to only stocking brands that have a clear sustainability strategy, you can rest assured your shopping experience here will be a guilt-free one.

Iris has set out to help everyone, from beauty rookies to seasoned experts, “find the joy in beauty”. A welcoming and non-judgmental hub that encourages experimentation and exploration, every visitor is supported to express their best selves.
