105 Mana Esplanade, Paremata, Porirua

Is there an eatery in Porirua with a view better than the one at Supply Room? You’d be hard-pressed to find one.

A quick five-minute stroll from Mana Station, the spacious bar and restaurant is spread over two floors, with the second-storey balcony perfectly positioned to capture the sweeping views across the harbour. Bathed in all-day sun and with plenty of seating both inside and out, it’s a great spot to enjoy a local craft beer on tap and the sight of the majestic Mana Island rising up from the horizon.

A venue designed for any occasion, extensive brunch, snack, and dinner menus will keep you well-fed, no matter the time of day. Burgers, soups, and hearty meat dishes dominate the menus, along with a tantalising range of sharing platters, and the Chatham Island blue cod fish and chips are a crowd favourite. Punters are also welcome to take their favourite tap beer away with them, so pack a bottle or two to enjoy at home or to share.

Supply Room is a real hive of activity in an otherwise quiet corner of Porirua, so there’s bound to be something happening when you visit. Low-key, chilled-out live music is never far away here, with local talent delivering stripped-down renditions of classic hits to provide the perfect backdrop for unwinding and relaxing.

As 4.30pm Friday marks the start of Happy Hour, it’s no wonder the locals flock here for a breezy start to their weekends. With stunning sunset views complementing the sights, sounds, and tastes of a real, down-to-earth eatery, the stresses of your week will be a distant memory.
