Calling a corner of the Plimmerton shops home, The Big Salami is where locals come to get super tasty pizza, coffee on the go and sweet slices like those you might remember from childhood. This community-feel pizzeria has all the makings of a humble eatery that does the simple things well. No need to dress up, or even wear shoes here—the Plimmerton shops are well accustomed to barefoot beach wanderers who come in search of a meal after some seaside time.

Meat, chicken, seafood and vegetarian pizzas are all on offer, as well as calzone, hot pies in the cabinet, paninis and pastries, and if it’s just one slice of the good stuff you’re after, single pieces are available too.

Window seating inside is great for those gloomy days, otherwise, the sunny outdoor courtyard is where it’s at—don’t be surprised to see it cranking in the evenings as those after-work vibes kick in. Fancy a dessert after (or before) your pizza? Choose from the variety of cheesecakes for a delicious bookend to the meal. From lunch through to dinner, let The Big Salami feed you and your whānau, easy as pie.
